ILSA is a system for managing train delay incidents.
ILSA provides the following:

  • The creation and editing of train delay incident records.
  • Views of complete or selective summaries of incidents
  • Amendment of trains affected by delay incidents and addition of delayed trains
  • The production of a summary of an incident for distribution as a printed report or by email
  • The production of complete or partial daily reports for distribution as printed report or by email
  • The management of reference data used by the ILSA software to provide pick lists (see below)
  • The ability to provide ILSA users with different levels of access to the system (full update, read-only, etc.)
  • When incidents are created or edited and when affected trains are added consistency of data is ensured wherever possible by the provision of drop down pick lists for items such as Cause, Route, Responsible Unit, Locations, etc. In addition a spell check facility is provided for entering information such as incident descriptions, notes, etc.

Pick lists for trains, produced from data provided by the "Sheila" system, are provided with the ability to create additional trains as required by short term planning.

The volume of input required to produce a daily report is reduced by the provision of a facility to carry forward outstanding items (e.g. Points and Signals out of use, Emergency Speed Restrictions, etc.) from the previous day's report.
